What type of music do you play at weekends?

We generally have different good time party music on Fridays, with different DJs on rotation check our listings. On Saturdays we dont book DJ's, we play a selection of music on playlist and offer people the facility to bring a DJ or an ipod etc for their party, we charge a £20 fee for use of the DJ equipement and this can be decucted from your deposit if you wish.

Can I make specific music requests to DJs?

Yes we encourage people to email their music preference, there's a section on the booking form for this

Do you show Sporting Events like football or rugby?

Yes we show football, rugby and if there are requests for other sports, we're happy to accommodate where we can

Our company would like to have our own quiz night in your upstairs bar, is that possible?

Yes, we've done that many times

We'd like to put on a speed-dating event for charity, is that possible?

Yes, we've done that many times

I'm a comedy promoter, can I put a night on?

Yes we've done that too.

I'm a music promoter, can I put a night on at the weekend?

Yes, drop us a line.

I'd like to use the whole venue for an exclusive private / corporate party, is this possible?

Yes it's possible, we will ask for a minimum spend if you want to use the whole venue exclusively.

Can I hire the entire venue on a Saturday?

Yes that's possible too.

Do you cater for Corporate Events?

Yes we hold many corporate functions, email us with what you'd like to do.

How big is Charterhouse / what's your capacity?

Charterhouse is set over two floors, (upstairs and downstairs) and can accommodate parties of any size up to 160 with 80 people on each floor.

Do both upstairs and downstairs have bars?

Yes.

Do both upstairs and downstairs have seating areas?

Yes

I'd like to book a party of 8 people?

Yes, there's no minimum size of party

Do you charge a hire fee?

No, but if your event were to be different from what normally happens at Charterhouse, there may be costs or charges to be paid. Please email and let us know what you are planning. NB There is a £20 charge if you are using our DJ equipment

Do you ask for a minimum spend?

No, not unless you require exclusive use of some sort, especially at peak times.

Do I have to pay a deposit to secure my booking?

Yes we ask for a £50 'no show' deposit which is returned on arrival or which you can use for food or drinks. If you are using our DJ equipement we can deduct the £20 cost from your deposit, if you wish.

Can I have the Top Bar exclusive all night?

Yes, but if there is a lot of demand for the date, which happens especially on Saturdays, we will ask you to agree to a minimum spend. Without a minimum spend agreement in place, it is possible you will be sharing the Top Bar.

Can I bring my own DJ or supply my own iPod with playlist?

Yes, depending on the music style. Although we generally have DJs booked in-house on a Friday. If you have a large party, we can consider it, please email us.

I don't want to pre-order food, can I have a drinks-only party where guests can order food if they want it?

Yes, that's fine.

Can I reserve a seated or standing area?

Yes, either are fine.

Can I book an area later in the evening?

Yes, we often have groups arriving after functions or wedding parties etc.

Is there a door charge mid week or at weekends?
